Creativity should be rewarded! At least that’s what we think here at College Greenlight. The contributors to these scholarships all seem to think the same thing, too! Check out this list we’ve compiled that are all about feeding that unique, out-of-the-box side of your brain. There’s plenty more where these came from, so keep an eye on your scholarship matches. And, keep in mind, it is never too early to start applying for scholarships, so hop to it!

 

Technology Addiction Awareness

Award: $1,000

Deadline 1/30/2018

Description: High school seniors submit an 140-character essay about technology addiction. To 10 finalists write an extended 500- to 1,000-word essay.

 

The Christophers “You Can Make A Difference” Poster

Award: $1,000

Deadline 2/19/2018

Description: High school seniors create an original poster that interprets the theme “You Can Make a Difference,” and illustrate the idea that one person can change the world for the better.

 

Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition

Award $3,000

Deadline 3/1/2018

Description: High school senior instrumentalist or vocalists submit application with audition CD and 3 paragraph essay on how music is in your future. Renewable.

 

Create-A-Greeting-Card

Award $10,000

Deadline 3/1/2018

Description: High school seniors create and upload a photo, artwork, or graphic for the front of a greeting card.

 

AFA Teens Video Challenge

Award $15,000

Deadline 3/15/2018

Description: High school seniors submit an autobiography and create an artistic or documentary video two minutes or less about Alzheimer’s disease.

 

Project Yellow Light

Award $5,000

Deadline 4/1/2018

Description: High school seniors create and submit a video designed to motivate, persuade, and encourage teens to not drive distracted.

 

Youth Film Contest

Award $1,000

Deadline 4/15/2018

Description: High school seniors submit a short film 4 minutes or less about the importance of political dissent. Additionally, first place winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship to the New York Film Academy.

 

E-waste Scholarship

Award $1,000

Deadline 4/30/2018

Description: High school seniors submit an 140-character essay about how to reduce e-waste – toxic materials and metals harmful to the environment. Top 10 finalists write an extended 500 to 1,000 word essay about e-waste.

 

Doodle4Google Contest

Award: $30,000

Deadline: 3/2/2018

Description: High school seniors submit a piece of original, two-dimensional artwork on a given theme that features the Google logo.

 

Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship

Award: $10,000

Deadline: 3/21/2018

Description: College-bound high school seniors who intend to pursue a career in television journalism.

 

I Have a Dream Scholarship

Award: $1,500

Deadline: 1/31/2018

Description: Students who are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2024) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Submit a written response about your dream and hopes for the future.
