Spring is Coming

Spring is just around the corner–or that’s what we keep telling ourselves! Look toward the weather getting a little more warm by applying  to a few scholarships that have deadlines in March. These are arranged by deadline date so be sure to take a look at them all to see which you best qualify for. (And after you’ve applied, make sure you take a screenshot and submit to our Greenlight to College Month raffles happening all month!)

 

AACCI Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

AWARD RANGE:               $1,000 – $2,000

This scholarship is for current AACC International Student Division members. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be college undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year.

 

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Scholarship Program

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

AWARD RANGE:               $1,000 – $5,000

These scholarships are for members or a child of a member of a SEIU local union who are enrolling as a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college, trade, or technical school.

 

Sergeant Major Douglas R. Drum Memorial Scholarship

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

AWARD RANGE:               $1,000 – $5,000

This scholarship is for current members of AMRA, and their spouses, dependent children, and grandchildren.

 

Casualty Actuarial Society Trust Scholarship Program

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

AWARD RANGE:               $5,000 – $10,000

This scholarship is for students interested in the property/casualty actuarial profession. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must currently be attending a US or Canadian college or university as full-time students and continuing as full-time students at a US or Canadian college or university in the upcoming academic year.

 

Harriet Fitzgerald Scholarship

DEADLINE: Mar 2

AVERAGE AWARD:$10,000

This scholarship is for women who are passionate about learning and wish to attend a woman’s college in the United States or Canada

 

Landstar Scholarship Fund

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

This scholarship is for children of Landstar employees and others affiliated with Landstar. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or be currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university

 

Bernard E. Dillon Vocational Skills Scholarship

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

AVERAGE AWARD:          $1,000

This scholarship is for current members of AMRA, and their spouses, dependent children, and grandchildren.

 

Engineering For You 2 Video Contest

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

AWARD RANGE:               $5,000 – $25,000

This competition is open to individuals or teams in six competition categories. To enter, applicants must create and submit a one- to two-minute video on a given topic related to engineering. See website for complete rules and submission guidelines.

 

Landstar Scholarship Fund

DEADLINE:          Mar 2

This scholarship is for children of Landstar employees and others affiliated with Landstar. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or be currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university. High school applicants must be planning to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college or university during the academic year for which the scholarship may be granted.

 

TwoTen Footwear Higher Education Scholarships

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $3,000

These scholarships are for students who have worked in the footwear industry themselves, or whose parents have worked in the industry.

 

AIST Foundation Engineering Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 2

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $3,000

This scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students with a genuine demonstrated interest in a career in the iron and steel industry.

 

Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 4

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $5,000

This scholarship is for college sophomores and juniors who are working towards positive solutions to environmental challenges and/or to issues impacting Indian country

 

Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation Scholarships

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 5

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $3,200

These scholarships are for undergraduate and graduate students who are initiated members of Kappa Alpha Theta. New members may apply, but must be initiated by the application deadline

 

American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Financial Aid Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 6

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $3,000 – $5,000

This scholarship is for students who have at least one parent who is a member of AFSA. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must attend or will be attending full-time as undergraduate students at a two- or four-year accredited college, university, community college, art school, or conservatory stateside or overseas.

 

AG Bell College Scholarship Awards Program

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 13

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $2,500 – $10,000

This scholarship is for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in or have applied to a mainstream and accredited college/university as a full-time student, and have a 3.25 GPA.

 

General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program

DEADLINE:Mar 13

AVERAGE AWARD:$2,000

This scholarship is for dependent sons and daughters of Air Force members. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a parent in one of the following categories of the Air Force: active duty; retired due to length of duty or disability; deceased while on active duty or in retired status; Title 10 Reserve on extended active duty; retired Guard and Reserve; and Title 32 AGR performing full time duties.

 

Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 13

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $2,500 – $10,000

This scholarship is for dependent unmarried children under age 23 of 1) active duty US military personnel, Reserve/Guard and retired military members, and 2) survivors of service members who died or became disabled while serving on active duty on or after September 11, 2001 (see website for full details).

 

American Foreign Service Association National High School Essay Contest

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 15

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $2,500

This contest is for high school students in grades 9 through 12 who are US citizens. To apply, applicants must write an essay on a given topic related to the Foreign Service.

 

Native American Leadership Education Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 15

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $500 – $5,000

This scholarship is for paraprofessionals in American Indian schools who are education majors and plan to pursue degrees in education, counseling, or school administration.

 

 

MESBEC Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 15

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $500 – $5,000

This scholarship is for students who are at least one-quarter American Indian and are enrolled members of a US tribe that is federally recognized, state-recognized, or terminated.

 

Tribal Business Management Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 15

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $500 – $5,000

This scholarship is for students majoring in business, finance, management, economics, banking, hotel management, and related fields who plan to work in economic development for tribes. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be at least one-quarter American Indian and be enrolled members of a US tribe that is federally recognized, state-recognized, or terminated.

 

BEF General Academic Scholarships

DEADLINE: Mar 15

AWARD RANGE:$500 – $2,500

This scholarship is for students with cystic fibrosis who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees.

 

Aspiring Writer’s Educational Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 15

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $1,000

This scholarship is for full-time college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors of African-American descent who are studying at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

 

Islamic Scholarship Fund (ISF) Scholarships

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 21

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $2,000 – $5,000

These scholarships are for undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors and graduate students who are Muslim or are active members of the Muslim community.

 

AIMCO Cares Opportunity Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 25

This scholarship is for residents of privately owned federally assisted low income housing properties (Section 8, low income housing tax credits, etc.) or recipients of Section 8 voucher rent assistance who demonstrate both merit and need.

 

AABE National Scholarships

DEADLINE:          Mar 27

AWARD RANGE:               $3,000 – $5,000

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are members of one of the underrepresented minority groups in the sciences and related areas of technology (African American, Hispanic, or Native American).

 

Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 27

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $500 – $5,000

This scholarship is for students who are majoring in and pursing an undergraduate or graduate degree in advertising (art direction only), fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interactive design/motion graphics, and photography

 

HPBA Horsemen Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 27

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $6,000

This scholarship is for children of horse farm and back stretch employees.

 

Robert G. Porter Scholars Program

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 31

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $2,000

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are dependents of current members of American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

 

Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium Scholarship

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 31

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $1,000

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors, high school graduates, and GED recipients who are enrolled as full-time students in a two- or four-year college or an ASE/NATEF certified postsecondary automotive, collision repair, or heavy duty program.

 

Rev. Charlie E. & Cinderella S. Taylor Sr. Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $1,000

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are active in church, school, and community organizations.

 

MassMutual Scholars

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 31

AWARD RANGE:                                                   $2,500 – $5,000

This scholarship is open to entering sophomores, juniors, seniors, and 5th-year seniors in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university.

 

TheDream.US Scholarship Program

DEADLINE:                                                              Mar 31

AVERAGE AWARD:                                              $25,000

This scholarship is for DREAMers who are DACA eligible and have applied for or received DACA approval. To qualify, applicants must be high school seniors or high school graduates who will are first-time students applying to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program at one of TheDream.US partner colleges, located in NYC, Miami, Washington, DC, El Paso, Rio Grande Valley, and online
