Roothbert Fund Scholarships
Award: $2,000 – $3,000 Renewable
Deadline: 2/1/2018
Description: This scholarship is for students who are motivated by spiritual values, with preference given to applicants who are considering careers in education. Financial need is considered. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a permanent residence in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, or North Carolina.

Ascend Educational Fund
Award: $2,500-$20,000
Deadline: 2/2/2018
Description: This scholarship is for immigrant students who will graduate from a New York City high school and enroll full-time at an accredited public or private college or university in 2017-2018. Applicants must have been born outside the United States or have two parents born parents born outside the United States, and demonstrate qualities traditionally valued by the immigrant community: hard work, resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one’s community.

NYWEA Scholarship
Award: $2,500
Deadline: 2/28/2018
Description: This scholarship is for high school seniors who are residents of New York. To qualify, applicants must be in good standing who have applied to a college or university with interest of pursuing an environmental career. Scholarship winners must who proof of enrollment in the environmentally related program at the four-year college or university.

Nicholas J. Bartilucci Environmental Scholarship
Award: $5,000
Deadline: 2/28/2018
Description: This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are residents of New York State. To qualify, applicants must be enrolling in and graduate from a BS or BE full-time program with a focus on environmental issues.

National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Scholarship
Award: $3,500
Deadline: 3/16/2018
Description: High school seniors who have a strong academic record and reside in one of the four NIADA regions (all 50 states are included among the regions). Applicants must submit an official high school transcript, recommendation letters (no more than 5), and SAT or ACT scores.

FSCNY Scholarship Program

Award: $2,000 – $7,500
Deadline: 3/16/2018
Description: This scholarship is for seniors attending public high schools in New York City’s five boroughs and the surrounding New York counties (Westchester and Rockland). To qualify, applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership in school, and involvement in their community by contributing at least 50 valuable hours of volunteer service each year of high school.

Candice’s Sickle Cell Scholarship Fund
Award: $1,500
Deadline: 4/14/2018
Description: This scholarship is for students living with sickle cell disease who are pursuing higher education. Applicants must write an 250 word essay on how sickle cell anemia disease has affected their life and education.

3 Point Scholarship
Award: $2,000 Renewable
Deadline: 5/1/2018
Description: This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are attending high school in the New York/Tri-State (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) or Tulsa, Oklahoma, areas. To qualify, applicants must plan to enroll full-time at a two- or four-year accredited institution during the upcoming academic year. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, and have a commitment to community service. Only the first 200 scholarship applications will be considered.

Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity
Award: $1,000 – $5,000 Renewable
Deadline: 5/1/2018
Description: This scholarship is for high school juniors and seniors, students entering an undergraduate degree program in the fall following the application deadline, and students in their first year of an undergraduate degree program. Applicants must be residents of Connecticut or the New York City metropolitan area who are currently attending or planning to attend an educational institution anywhere in the United States; or residents of any US state who are currently attending or planning to attend an educational institution located in Connecticut or the New York City metropolitan area. LI2Day Walk Scholarship
Award: $2,500
Deadline: 5/15/2018
Description: This scholarship is for college-bound high school seniors from Nassau or Suffolk County, New York whose parent or guardian is a survivor or victim of breast cancer (or another women’s cancer). Along with their application, applicants must submit a personal statement, a letter of recommendation, a copy of an official high school transcript, and proof of college acceptance for 2018-2019.
