Davidson University: Access Davidson

State: North Carolina

Program Dates: Nov. 3-5

Application Deadline: Priority August 26th, deadline September 16th

Description: Davidson will host its annual Access Davidson program Oct. 14-16, 2018 (formerly Multicultural Visit Program). Access Davidson is a program for high school seniors, designed to provide students from traditionally under-represented groups or those that may not have access to visit campus otherwise. Due to the brevity of the visit, students living outside of the United States are not eligible for consideration. Only students who have not been on an official visit may be selected for the program.

 

Emory University

State: Georgia

Program Dates: October 10th-12th, 2019

Application Deadline: August 16th

Description: Emory University invites you to apply to participate in Emory’s CORE visit program. This program is for talented, high-achieving high school seniors who are traditionally first-generation college students and/or from underrepresented cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds.

 

Johns Hopkins University: Hopkins Overnight Multicultural Experience

State: Maryland

Program Dates: October 10 – 12

Application Deadline: September 6

Description: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is proud to present HOME—an on-campus, overnight program connecting African American or black, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American, and multiracial high school seniors to the clubs, organizations, and resources that bring together our multicultural community.

 

Rice University: Explore Rice, SOAR

State: Texas

Program Dates: September 21-23, 2019

Application Deadline: August 5, 2019

Description: Explore Rice is our signature one-day open house program with opportunities to interact with Rice students, faculty and staff. Each fall, we welcome hundreds of visitors to campus from around the world to see for themselves why Rice is the best choice for many bright and curious students. If you’re interested in learning more about Rice but might not have the resources to visit campus, we encourage you to apply for SOAR to attend Explore Rice. Travel grant recipients will benefit from an expanded program and Rice will cover all travel, meal and lodging costs associated with the program.

 

Tulane University: BienvenueTU

State: Louisiana

Program Dates: March 5-7, 2020

Application Deadline: Invitation Only

Description: The spring visit is an invite-only program designed for high-achieving, admitted, high school seniors from first generation and/or underrepresented cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds. Visiting students will stay on campus with a current student, have the opportunity to sit in on classes, meet with faculty and staff, attend a student organization fair, and explore New Orleans!

 

Tulane University: PreviewTU

State: Louisiana

Program Dates: October 19-21, 2019

Application Deadline: September 13, 2019

Description: The fall visit program is an overnight stay combined with our fall Campus Preview Day in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Center for Academic Equity. This is a competitive program and students will be asked to apply for the program. The visit will give students the chance to learn about the diversity of Tulane and New Orleans, explore academic offerings, and immerse themselves in campus life. PreviewTU is designed for high-achieving high school seniors who are from first generation and/or underrepresented cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds. The Office of Undergraduate Admission will reimburse students’ travel expenses.

 

Washington & Lee University Diversity and Inclusion Visit Experience (DIVE)

State: Virginia

Program Dates: DIVE I: September 22-24, 2019 & DIVE II: October 20-22, 2019

Application Deadline: DIVE I: August 8 & DIVE II: September 6

Description: The Diversity and Inclusion Visit Experience (DIVE) is a selective, two-day all-expense paid program for rising high school seniors. The visit focuses on personal engagement with faculty members and current students, life in a residential campus community (including staying in first-year residence halls), and a primer on W&L’s admission and financial aid process. DIVE affords curious, committed, high-achieving students an immersive campus visit where our focus is not only on the transformative opportunities at W&L, but on the ways they can make an impact on a community as conscious, civic-minded scholars.
