Scholarship –  The Smart Alec Scholarship

Description – This scholarship is open to any high school student in the US. Students must answer the given prompt in order to apply. Submissions are welcomed in any form, from essays to songs to sculptures to mathematical proofs.

Award Amount – $2,000

Deadline – January 1

 

Scholarship –  Potential Magazine Countdown to College Scholarship

Description – This scholarship is open to all college-bound high school students of all grades. Applicants must subscribe to C2C in order to be eligible.

Award Amount – $500

Deadline – January 5

 

Scholarship – Dell Scholars Program

Description – This scholarship is for college-bound high school seniors who have participated in a college readiness program for at least of two years (see website for a list of approved programs). See website for complete details

Award Amount – $20,000

Deadline – January 15

 

Scholarship –  Kyoto Scholarship

Description – This scholarship is for who are graduating from a San Diego County high school. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Award Amount – $10,000

Scholarship –  Norma A. Cull Memorial Scholarship

Description – This scholarship is for Madison Consolidated High School graduating seniors.

Award Amount – $2,000

Deadline – January 31

 

Scholarship –  Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship

Description – The purpose of this scholarship is to make students aware of the negative impact of technology. Applicants must write a 140-character message about technology addiction. Ten finalists will be selected from the applicant pool and asked to write a 500- to 1,000-word essay about technology addiction.

Award Amount – $1,500

Deadline – January 30

 

Scholarship –  I Have a Dream Scholarship

Description – This scholarship is for students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an post-secondary institution of higher education. Students applying must submit a written response about what their hopes and dreams are for the future.

Award Amount – $1,500

Deadline – January 31
